Galleries are for discovery
Prompt galleries are built around browsing. They show examples, categories, and visual inspiration. That is valuable when the user does not yet know what they want, or when they need vocabulary for a style they can recognize but not describe.
The limitation appears when the user wants repeatability. A gallery prompt might produce one good image, but it may not explain which parts should change for another product, person, scene, or brand.

Standards are for reuse
A prompt-template standard defines the shape around the prompt. It can include slots, controls, examples, preview images, suggested models, license metadata, provenance, and a compiled prompt. That structure lets software render a prompt builder instead of a plain text box.
The prompt is still visible. The standard simply makes the prompt easier to edit, validate, and transport between tools.
